ITINERARY
DAY 1 : ADDIS ABABA ARRIVAL
What’s Included On This Day
Welcome to Ethiopia! International arrivals will be picked up by the hotel shuttle and there will be time to relax and unwind from long flights before dinner and Ethiopia Cultural show in the evening.
DAY 2: Addis Ababa - Full Day Tour
What’s Included On This Day
Full Day Tour - We will start the day early for a guided tour of the beautiful capital city. Starting sunrise views and breakfast in Entoto park. Then we will head to grab coffee at Tomoca cafe in Piazza.
The tour will include visits to Mercato (Largest open market in Africa), National Museum, Unity Park and Entoto park.

DAY 3: ADDIS ABABA - BAHIR DAR
What’s Included On This Day
Fly Addis Ababa - Bahir Dar.
Check into the hotel then go on an excursion to the Blue Nile falls.
Return to Bahir Dar then at sunset we will head to the Bezait Palace. This spectacular viewpoint overlooks Lake Tana and The Blue Nile.

DAY 4: Tana Island and Monasteries.

We will leave early in the morning by boat to Tana Island and explore some of its most beautiful and ancient monasteries.

DAY 5: Bahir Dar to Gondar
What’s Included On This Day
We will head out early to drive to Gondar.
Will will explore Fasil Ghebbi which is a series of castles founded in the 17th century by Emperor Fasilides and was the home of Ethiopian emperors.
The castles have a very unique architecture that shows diverse influences including Nubian styles. The site was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979
We will also visit Debre Berhan Selassie Church, famous for its religious art and especially its iconic ceilings.

DAY 6: Simien Mountains
What’s Included On This Day
We will drive early in the morning to Sankaber and go on a spectacular hike.
We will camp overnight.
Camping equipment is provided. We encourage you to bring warm clothing.

DAY 7: Simien Mountains
What’s Included On This Day
We will explore more of the amazing terrains in the mountains and see the Gelada Baboons which are only found in Ethiopia.
Head back to Gondar later in the day and check into Haile Resort or have the option of staying at the Simien Lodge (this option will change pricing).

DAY 8: Gondar to Lalibela
What’s Included On This Day
We will head out early in the morning to Lalibela and later in the day visit Asheton Maryam monastery.

DAY 9: Lalibela
What’s Included On This Day
Early morning after breakfast we will drive to the amazing historic region and visit the rock hewn churches found in the center of the town. We will have local guides explain the history and significance of each Church.

We will have breakfast at the lodge and depart for our flight to Addis
